For 2019, Slingshot has made some excited changes on their ever popular, Shredtown bindings. Let’s take a look!
Removable Tongue
All new for 2019, Slingshot has introduced a removeable tongue in the Shredtown boot. The tongue keeps the boot a little stiffer, which some people love. Other people prefer as much flex as the can get. If you find yourself in this camp, you can take the tongue right out. We find that it makes getting the liner in and out just a touch easier. Slingshot has also included a liner protector to keep your liner from wearing out if you take the tongue out.
Gummy Straps
Slingshot introduced the gummy straps in 2017, and they are still a great option. They’re strong and allow you to dial in your boot just the way you like it. They are a nice alternative to velcro, which can get dirty and worn out after lots of use. The Shredtown boots come with an extra set of straps, so you can change the look of your boot too!
Removable Liner
While the Shredtown boot is great for your boat riding, it’s an absolute star at the cable park thanks to its removable walk liner. A simple lace with a velcro holder makes the boot easy to deal with. The tough outsole has no problem taking abuse walking around on hot concrete, decks, beach or whatever terrain you might find yourself in.
Final Take
At $431, the 2019 Shredtown Boot comes in at one of the lowest walk liner boot on the market, and there isn’t a whole lot to add to it. It is a touch heavier than some of the other boots out there, but if you’re looking to save a few dollars and get an incredible pair of bindings for the cable park, you’ve found ‘em right here!
